Big Jeffreys triumphant return?

What are the bad things you have heard? I haven't booted Garry's Mod in a couple years but my experiences with it were fantastic, especially as a tinkerer/engineer. Caveat though, I never played online with strangers; I either just played by myself or on a private server with friends just messing around.

Someone take the virtual camera away from Dan please, it's so distracting when he goes in,out and around so harshly.There's this constant feeling that I'm missing something that is not in view. I'dd rather see from the Jeffs view so I know I'm seeing the exact same things as the player.I wonder if it would help if Drew did the camerawork, he knows his stuff.

@wonderva: Apparently the community went to crap. I've checked out the steam reviews and just looks bad. I've also watched a couple of streams and it doesn't look like it's for me. Too many immature kids on there. Cool idea but give it enough time and it implodes.

My Vive arrives tomorrow. I might have to Chunk it.

I love how Jeff just instinctively started yelling to Dan after he shrank down because VR tricked his brain into thinking he was way farther away from Dan. VR is nuts dude.

@sto_ln: You don't have to play it with random people. I've only ever played with friends messing around making dumb machines.

Something about seeing Jeff's VR avatar, simplistic as it is, move around like that in a virtual world is very exciting to me. VR has so much potential, I hope it will be fulfilled. Also, floating menus that appear in the world are cool as fuck, doubly so in VR.

I kinda wish that Dan had used the bomb tool while on the coaster to blow up a part of track and go flying.

This game seems great, even in the sense of making rollercoasters to trick your senses. Watching this full-screened on a tablet messed my vertigo up a little, so I have high aspirations for the future of VR vomiting.

This just made me realize that a full-on Rollercoaster Tycoon style game in VR would be absolutely amazing. Being able to walk around to lay out your park, from both the giant perspective as well as normal size, and to use more fleshed out tools like these to build coasters would be incredible.

This has a very strong Minecraft feel. Let's hope Microsoft doesn't feel the same way...

Is there any videos out there yet of someone accidentally breaking their headset? Like falling on their face or banging into a wall or something?

It's because you can recognize him through his body language, even though he's represented as a disembodied headset and controllers...which is crazy. As amazing and weird as the Will Smith Firewatch thing is, it has a puppet feel to it, rather than a recognizable presence, despite his avatar being modeled after him.

Stuff like this is what makes me interested in VR. I still think the teleporting for movement sucks though, but for something like this is ok at least. I will prob wait a few years to get any VR stuff but stuff like this looks neat to me. Not sure it is worth getting a headset right now though.

Man, makes me wish they were working on Minecraft for the Vive and not the Hololens.

Jeff is the Bob Ross of virtual roller coaster building.

This is the first "Yeah, VR could be awesome" thing that I've seen.

Dan is the worst camera man.

That was so good. I love how natural that kind of reaction is.

On a different note, why didn't Jeff ever sit down for the roller coaster? I feel like it would be easier to process than standing up. Even if it's on the floor.

I was really hoping someone was going to grow to 64x and make a HUGE drop in the roller coaster.
