My understanding is that the events available will vary based on season, that they will be adding new events over the next year as you go into every season, and that the weather of each season will actually vary in intensity (ie. one winter might be more of a blizzard, the next one might be milder, etc.).

It sounds awesome.

This is what the demo they just released for the game covers. Playing it at 4k/60 on my pc/tv was pretty great. Couldn't find anything about hdr but I hope the pc version ends up supporting that. Can't say what does it but I feel like it looks better than 3 and it really is a pretty game.

@kirkyx: Seriously, the slim fit/skinny jeans fad has been going on for way too long. It's a nightmare to try and find a good pair of regular jeans these days.

@hassun: I feel like there are a ton of different fits available for jeans now that it shouldn't be hard to find the right fit. Levis has like ten different fits.

Also, there are chinos if you want more comfort.

Hi, someone told me this is a British ketamine smuggling simulator.

The hovercraft you see to the right around 7:15-7:30 is keeping up with cars that are going 160-180MPH. The world hovercraft speed record is 85MPH. That just seems a little odd for a game that is trying to be somewhat realistic with driving physics.

Try walmart. Pretty sure that's where Dan get's his sensible jeans from.

Ah, The Legend of Forza: Oracle of Seasons.

I wish I could play these games, I have an i7-7700k with an RX580 that has pretty much allowed me to play everything I've ever thrown at it at its highest settings or damn near with 60fps. Forza 7 was a rock solid gorgeous experience for comparison, but FH3 and now the demo for FH4 on lowest possible settings run like an absolute nightmare. Constant hitching, audio breaks, cutscenes even lag, and the game itself is a complete slideshow in the truest form of that phrase. When it does the optimization at the beginning it even sets it to High. It's such a bummer and I'm out of ideas.

I can't wait for this game.

@trapped_in_vr: that's weird. Resetera has people reporting their 1050s can run it decently. 580 really should be no problem at all.

I've been really excited for this game and Shadow of the Tomb Raider which almost covers my games for 2018. The fact that there was a demo out of nowhere is so exciting (albeit on the release date for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which has been conflicting!) and I've been playing it at 4k with the HUD and the driving lines off and it almost looks like you are driving in a real world environment and the game is breath taking.

I got goose bumps watching the introduction for the game, it is one of the most well crafted introductions to get you into a game ... the transitions, and the narration were so spot on. It is unfortunate you can't skip it if you have to reload the game but it is beautiful and worth it since the demo continues past the 4 seasons and lets you drive around without a timer that I've seen which really surprised me how much they are letting us mess around. I haven't seen if you can buy cars or anything but I just like driving around smashing into things right now. Highly recommend anyone who can to try the demo!

Blazin' hot take: Video games are REALLY pretty nowadays. It's just been hitting me lately, and I've been extra appreciative of where we're at graphically. Been that way for a good while, too. I was replaying Portal 2 a couple of days ago, and that game could have come out yesterday for how good it looks.

I really should try the demo for this. I've never Forza'd, but the Horizon games always looked fun to me.

The game takes place in the UK, which is where the developer Playground Games was founded and is located. Seems pretty genuine.

Yup me too! I'm about 5 hours into shadows of the tomb raider and after playing this demo I decided to pick up the ultimate edition. I doubt they were going to have any sales so $99 kinda stings but I got so much joy out of forza horizon 3 and know they will have worthwhile DLC if blizzard mountain and hot wheels is any indication.

I gotta say that I was smiling from ear to ear while doing the first off road race they give you. The cars almost felt like you were playing Dirt Rally but to a lesser extent. There are about 8 events and 10 cars so this demo is surprisingly more than I thought they would have provided us. I hope this game is successful as they put a lot of work into it and have lots of plans for post game and the seasons is just such a cool concept for a racing game.

I can't get over this game! I followed the development over the summer while they were doing live streams showing off many features of the game and it has been difficult waiting to try it for myself. It just lives up to every expectation and that is only from the demo alone. Some little things I don't think they have really touted are that there is actual depth to each divot and mud hole in the game where water collects and they have a whole tree language where if it looks like the current car you are driving can go through a tree, it usually can.

Just played the PC demo and this is one stunning looking game (no surprise there really). It's still Horizon but I'm okay with that. Performance was solid to.

Also loving the UK setting.

FH2 was a GWG last month and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to this.

This looks as good as I thought it would, man these games are so awesome and fun, good vibe to them. Can't wait till I can get a new PC and finally dig into FH4. If the rumours are true and Playground is totally making a new Fable as their other game then I'm hyped, the environments are stunning here.

@brad@jeff The big fans on the back of the Rally car are because the radiator is located in the back for those cars. Two of the main reasons are that a front radiator will be filled with mud and then will no longer be able to cool the engine, and it is also more exposed to debris and gravel in offroad racing

It sounds like they worked on the optimization of this over Forza Horizon 3, so I'll play the demo before buying it. 3 ran like garbage on my computer that was well within the recommended settings, so please please please run better.

i have a 6600k and an rx580 and i play it at 1080p with all ultra settings other than shadows that i turn down one notch and its around 70-90fps for me so its probably down to something else in your pc it doesn't like.

I had a problem with horizon 3 showing me black trees on the interior camera till a couple of display driver releases ago so the games definitely aren't perfect by any means

Damn, the changes were more substantial than I expected. I dig that seamless transition they do at the end of a race. I know it’s all just for show, but I am into the character customization too. I just hope the Legs tab isn’t just all pants :x

Funny how the scale of the premise was scaled back, but I guess there’s not much further to go from being in charge of the festival in Horizon 3, lol
