I don't really see the value of arguing about the term MOBA. Even if it's generic after you pick apart the acronym, we all know exactly what sort of game it's referring to, making it still work as a genre name. There are very few genre names of any medium that aren't super vague if you think about them too hard, though we usually still understand them.

I haven't had any trouble with videos. Guess I'm always either too late to the broken party or just lucky?

probably wont see a wireless headset connecting to a PC, but hopefully a standalone headset that doesn't need a PC. Hololens does it, so at some point the tech we need should become small enough.

Wow. I'm pretty sure that VR shooting/hovering game is the first thing I've seen that has me actually considering a VR purchase in the future. I've certainly seen some impressive demos (The Lab was quite impressive), but nothing that I can see myself playing more than once or twice. If they add a bit more to that game, I would totally be down. Very cool.

Watching Brad play Battleborne and hearing Dan rattle on about Overwatch and the occasional reference to Paragons makes me wonder if no-one on the Giant Bomb crew has heard about or put hands on Paladins yet. The complete lack of discussion about it when they talk about these games is kind of weird.

Sheesh, it was painful to see Jason attempt to play GG2 by going through the campaign... That game takes forever to get going, just start a skirmish match.

@danryckert is not a man of his word! He said on his personal channel that he was going to definitely go back to and beat Dark Souls, and if he did not we could hold it over him!

With that said, just play Dark Souls 3 or whatever.

I'm with Jeff, all these moba games are depressing, development time and budget taken away from developers capable of so much more.

The PC footage of Battleborn looks okay at times (although it's no Monday Night Combat (also, fuck Super MNC)), but seeing a slower character on the PS4 version played by Brad is rouuuuuugh.

That VR shooter thingie Jeff played looked cool. VR reloading is the future. Wonder how effective blind fire from cover is.

All of these "actiony" moba's make me wish monday night combat was still going strong.

With one exception, this felt super cringe-inducing from start to finish. I wish DS3 was working properly because Jason playing that game was the only thing worth watching.

Nothing about wearing a VR set and stumbling around like an idiot looks "cool".

With the camera on the front of the Vive, I really can't see myself going with the Rift (if it was between those two). Being able to pop the camera on when you have to quickly check something, without having to stop holding the controller to adjust the headset, seems like an amazing convenience (especially in multiplayer games).

I too have very specific memories of playing the Pokemon Stadium minigames. They were pretty fucking rad.

None of those VR headsets look cool on people's faces guys. They do cool stuff but looking cool ain't one of them. And that's ok!

Everything about VR is lame, the headsets look dumb, the games look dumb, and the coverage is incredibly boring.

How is Brad not a hobby-grade M.O.B.A. player?
