Every time LA comes up it is abundantly clear how little most of them know about it. Just go listen to Anthony Bourdain or Bill Simmons, two guys who hated LA with a passion until they actually spent time getting to know it. Simmons ended up vowing to never move back to Boston.

Koreatown alone is worth visiting LA for. Holy shit, that food!

It took me way too long to realize the Corgi spaceship simulator was an homage to Cowboy Bebop. The smiley faces ripped straight out of Ed's computer gave it away though.

As somebody who just picked up a WiiU after a long Nintendo drought, the timing of this is PERFECT.

That said, I cringe whenever I see tourists, especially on those horrible tour buses I see in Hollywood/West Hollywood/Beverly Hills. I'm so sorry, this really isn't a good place for tourists, especially foreign tourists. Come for the beaches and Disneyland, but for god's sake stay away from Hollywood.

This "Brad is the host now" thing was funny for a bit, but please don't take the joke too far. I love the dude, but one of his most endearing traits is his lack of energy. Someone like Drew or Dan would be a better ringleader in Jeff's absence.

Sucks man. It totally does. I wonder if he's feeling worn out? It seems like he's a little more reserved these days, and without him around I don't really think I can enjoy Giant Bomb as much as I used to considering Vinny is also pretty much gone and the joke of "Giant Bomb New York" took him away.

I agree with you all of the way. Something is very wrong about Brad in the chair. It's excusable when Jeff is absent, but the day that Brad gets the chair and Jeff is there is a day that I feel like another big part of Giant Bomb has changed and gone down the wayside.

I "like" Brad, but god damn is he more than a little deadpan. It was part of his charm to be the baritone-talking man who is obsessed with subpar games (my opinion, of course), but man, it's just a bore to listen to the Bombcast with him fronting it. I haven't really felt intrigued to listen since he "took over". As I've stated previously, Brad is one of the few that I felt never really fit into the sense of humor that was a pivtol part of the Giant Bomb community back when it was the Jeff and Ryan show (I miss those days so much. I love you Ryan.)

But anyway, Drew I don't see leading, he's best as an aside. Dan, though, I can see easily becoming a large part of the site and even the leader some day since it seems like Jeff is burnt out.

Dan is easily the best thing to happen to the site in a few years of unfortunate changes with Ryan's untimely death, Vinny moving out, and even Patrick not being around. Him and Rorie being fixtures is great, it's just a shame that so much else is going on that seems so weird.

Man, I've got a wicked case of Mud Run.

Edit: I've never seen Nintendoland before. Hopefully everyone made the same joke when the WiiU came out.

Yeah. As someone who grew up in LA, and worked in the hotel industry there, I can totally understand why you would get a bad impression of it from only going for E3. But you're right, it's actually a really awesome city.

Definitely, if your only experience with a place - not even LA, specifically - is a stay at a packed hotel during a work-related convention, then you're probably not really getting to know the place in any sort of genuine way. I find that most cities where people live have something to offer, otherwise people probably wouldn't live there.

Another great job hosting by Brad. It's good to know that he can step up and take charge when Jeff's away.

All dogs are lap dogs, Brad. Also, that's not what nonplussed means.

Aside from his truly egregious understanding of the culinary arts I think I'm warming up to Dan. Good feelings all 'round.

I'm glad Jeff is getting some vacation time, but I mean more or less his presence seems more subdued in general in the past few months. I mean, maybe it was because he needed some time off.

I hope, anyway, I pray that this won't end with Jeff leaving the site in the next few years or something like that.

Yeah, bless Dan for taking the time with local multiplayer, a lot of people are too fast to dismiss them these days.
