Man, without videos like this I'd have never known GB had so many behind the scenes people (still unsure if they get paid by GB direct or work as some hybrid staff for everyone in that office or what) But man, they have personality and interests and actually do decently well on camera.

Even the one guy (whose name I have not yet memorized) who is pretty much "This isn't Madden or CoD so this stuff is boring" still plays along and lets the people who do enjoy stuff he doesn't get their time in the spot-light. Like, that's years worth of practice/empathy for how to do good group content that some people sometimes never learn (Not thinking of anyone in GB specifically, more other content online). Everyone has fun, everyone lets everyone else have fun and they all come off as pretty cool people.

Its really jarring hearing all the hit noises and grunts in the Spider-Man GBA game and recognizing them from Age of Wonders. Every time he beats up some dude in a suit my mind flashes back to Halflings getting their shit kicked in by Orcs.

Man, the Fist of the North Star demo inspired me to watch the movie again, and boy had I forgotten just how bad the dubbed version is.

That's so cool they got Anthony Fantano on the couch this week.

Man, I can not fucking wait for that fist of the northstar game. And I've never even seen the anime. Nor did I start any of the yakuza games since 0 despite buying em all on release day xD, so at least I'll definitely not be burned out on yakuza-ish gameplay yet haha.

Why were they calling that Dying Light mode a Battle Royale mode? It's got objectives, 12 players, and no shrinking circle. Isn't that just a normal, fairly unique multiplayer game mode?

After a year or so of drinking diet Mountain Dew when I drank it (far more often than I care to admit), it does pretty much taste like regular Mountain Dew (horrible poison juice)

All of us have stories of our parents exposing us to stuff at a young age that we can look back and laugh about (my mom let me hear Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy when I was 7). There you go, that’s a much more reasonable approach. Better that than calling someone a bonehead and comparing him to someone who refuses to think most things through as a full-grown adult. If you read my original comment again you’ll see I was suggesting you be a little less harsh. Not sure if your having a bad day, but sincerely hoping it gets better.

Jason really needs to start bringing other non fighting games to UPF. The amount of fighting game coverage is getting to be too much now.

@lofi: It actually looked pretty neat, glad it isn't one of those in reality. Makes me wish devs would diverge more from the formula if they must chase this fad (Blackout feels like a missed opportunity in this regard).

I think the amount of fighting game coverage is just right! I love watching cartoon musclemen fight from a fixed side angle in increasingly preposterous ways. Don't take this from me!

This was a hilarious UPF, good crew, good vibes and good games. Love it when behind the scenes people come in on the show and we can hear some interesting bits and pieces.

@windir2112: I liked it when I read a comment on this site that summed up the weapons in Breath of the Wild as sword ammo to be used and replenished frequently. It forces you to think about your resources in interesting ways (do I really need to use my good weapon in this fight? I think I can get by with some of my fodder swords) and allows weird stories to spawn from it. Or it might be a hassle that makes people extremely uncomfortable.

Maybe consider that it's okay that you don't really like how a system works while others can really love it without implying that the others thoughts aren't genuine?

This. Jason's great and he did a good job as the host on this episode, but fighting games/brawlers/beat-em-ups on every single UPF is getting tiring. There's a really big saturation of fighting games on Giant Bomb in recent months.

However, to be fair, this time they only played Tekken because chat and Brad asked for it, so I guess it wasn't really Jason's fault.

Other than that, great show! Dave, Dan and Will are awesome and it's nice when they're on camera with the rest of the crew. It felt like an old school UPF in some ways.

I know Dan wasn't in this, but I blame him for the Buffalo Wild Wings talk that made me go out and buy some. I guess I'm a level seven susceptible

Heh. And I thought my cousin buying her 11 year old some Puppet Master films was something. Though I guess this means I can get him Alien and Predator for Christmas.
