Uber should never be mentioned. It is slave labor and a sexist corporation.

My girlfriend's dad does Uber in his free time and apparently makes a crapton of money, and this is from the mouth of a guy that was already making 80k+ a year with his day job. My girlfriend's brother is in a similar boat, since he's a delivery driver and does Lyft in his free time, and he's also making a killing. As far as I know he has no particular reason for picking Lyft over Uber, except that he didn't want to be doing the EXACT same thing his dad was doing. The two of them make me wish I had a car so bad.

Glad to hear some good things about Uber. Everyone's so quick to condemn everything nowadays. I've used Uber on multiple occasions while me and my wife were out of town and it's always been a great experience.

Some Uber driver just raped a passenger. In the news.

There is no accountability. Their background checks are barely that. They also deny any accountability. Awful business practices.

As I said, I've had nothing but good experiences with them. I'm not going to boycott an entire company because one guy did something horrible. That's like saying I'm not going to accept mail because multiple postal workers have gone nuts and shot people.

Hmmmm, does anyone here play bad games and have fun making fun of it anymore. I feel like Vinny was the main person on that train before GBEast. I thought Unprofessional Fridays would be the best place to get that now, but it mostly just totally off-topic discussion throughout. I am probably the only one who would rather just watch these guys kick back after a long week of Quick Looks and podcasts and writing, have a drink and laugh at some obscure bad games.

RocknRolla was a pretty good movie with Gerard Butler. Only other ones would be the How to Train Your Dragon movies if you count voice acting.

Just because you had an amazing time, does not mean you are the majority.

So then you're saying this happens to the majority of Uber users?

Yes, that's the lesson to be gained from this discussion. It only matters if something bad happens to the majority of the people who use a service....

I actually wonder what type of jobs Dan had previously, if only to try and get a bearing on his dislike for the Clerks film at least. That movie tends to resonate far more with people who have worked those kinds of jobs before than those who were lucky enough to have avoided it.

As for the Uber bashing on here, I'm not sure what to tell you people that would make you reconsider your stance. Apparently two or three cases means a majority now? With the amount of people that service moves, coupled with the fact that normal taxi service is just as dangerous in some respects, what choice do people really have? It's either a taxi, bus, or some sort of service like Uber. Not everyone can afford a car, especially now.

Oh wow, Enter the Gungeon changed a lot from its early days. Been playing the hell out of it since it released last week and it's cool that I stumble upon this UPF (I'm watching them in reverse order, going back in time yeah!) and seeing an early build. Cool stuff. :D
