I remember beating this game without using a FAQ. How did I do that with my 7th? grade idiot brain? All of these games are inscrutable.

Maybe it just seems more complicated because Dan is playing it.

Surprising how much I laughed at such bizarre statement.

This is payback for Ryckert Luck in other games and life in general.

This reminds me of driving around with my sister in the old days before smart phones when navigation was done by paper road map. I was driving, sister was on map duty. This arrangement was a mistake. I soon found out that my sister cannot read maps. She's a map turner, meaning she would rotate the thing every time we took a turn. We got lost. Repeatedly. I pulled over. Told her to drive and I would do map. Threats were uttered. I was right, we (I) navigated successfully to the destination. I said I told you so. She threw a water bottle at me.

Tons of comedians play a persona for their standup act and many of them even stay in character any time they're on television or whatever. The only difference is that Dan thinks Dan Whitney sucks and isn't funny.

I hate roe and I hate tobiko. An entire pie is an unacceptable offering.

I'm also endlessly fascinated by Dan's complete and total inability to take Marvel movies seriously while being invested in something like MGS. A cosmic gauntlet that can control reality is the height of ludicrous, but "nanomachines, son" as an explanation for ACTUAL magic is 100% acceptable.

And I mean that: I'm fascinated. I'm not angry or salty or whatever, I think it's weird and interesting.

Fun Fact: the 'tuff-kid' in "Ernest Goes to Camp" now does the voice of Robin in the animated Teen Titians/Teen Titans Go.

Also "Ernest Goes to Camp" is the only 'Ernest' movie I could stand to watch and I've watched it about a hundred times. Got about 20min into "Ernest Saves Christmas" before I bailed.

@thetafox: I completely disagree. Her timing is second to none, and she's a wonderful addition to all the streams shes on. Glad she's there!

Has anyone pointed out that Dan has been singing his Stroke parody incorrectly the whole time? He tries to rules lawyer "Pyro Bison" as incorrect but those lyrics in the actual song use two-syllable words (winner, sinner) and not one-syllable words like he has been doing

God I loved the moment Dan paused the game to take Vinny to task for comparing MacGruber and Larry the Cable Guy.

Dan Macgroober is pretty damn stupid. It's like Coneheads tier of bad SNL flicks. It is no Blues Brothers or Wayne's World.

Putting Alex' attention on the guide was a MASSIVE mistake. That means that Dan is the only one actually looking at the game. The guy that looks at an elevator door with a big 1 on it, yet can't say on which floor he's at. At some point they started to believe in a random guide over the actual game and refused to plant a c4 at the pipes, despite it literally standing out to them to the point where they discussed this weird looking piece of geometry. Maybe at that point it's worthwhile to like.. try to place a c4?

Sure, this is not a great fun part of the game, but this all would be a way better experience if they just put 4 to 6 eyes on the game and just went for exploration. Go from room to room to see what they haven't discovered. Instead of this continuous dance between the same 4 rooms & ducts. The duct that brought them to the last c4 spot had like 3-4 different offshoots that they never looked at, despite walking around this place for an hour. That says a lot about how little actual exploration they actually got done while staring at this guide. Exploration got them through the bulk of Metal Gear 1 & 2, why would it not work here? I think there was a chance that one of the c4 spots would be in that little hallway above the elevator. With their very door-to-door strategy that would never get found. So they're actually quite lucky here.

The ending was glorious though. Especially as Dan had to sidle around with a pixel of health while rocks fall down.
