    Shrek is the titular character of the 1990 children's book and the multimedia franchise it spawned with the 2001 film. He was originally going to be voiced by Chris Farley but Mike Myers replaced Farley due to Farley's death in 1997. Shrek has appeared in various games based on the film series.
