Overview
SHUT IN is a dark comedy/psychological horror game exploring depression and isolation.
Created in RPG Maker MV, and designed to be played in a single sitting, players are trapped inside their own house, where they must face a series of bizarre and mundane obstacles getting in the way of their simple task:
Get out of bed, Go outside, and Get some fresh air.
Featuring constant heckling and sarcasm from an unreliable narrator, players must solve a variety of puzzles while working out for themselves which advice can be trusted, and which instructions need to be ignored.
With many different predictable and unexpected ways to die, the player is told to keep trying different things, all getting them closer and closer to their front door, and to freedom.
