I bet this turns into the new Tony Hawk franchise where they will be adding hardly anything.

I'm really scared of this game now. I love Skate but this is really looking a lot like THPS now... I mean, bulldozers? Why ever happened to the realism? I just hope there's realistic playability for those who care.

Ok, May 2010, fair enough.  I was thinking "Skate 2 JUST came out not too long ago"

But still, it doesn't look like they added too much to Skate 3 at this point.  A new city, that looks stylistically like the old city.

And it's still surprising that they are rolling this out right away.  Considering Skate 2 did not enjoy the same success Skate did, it would be NICE to see them try to change up the formula a bit, try something new.  The controls are the bread and butter of this franchise, but maybe change something else.

Ok so let me get this straight. This game has the exact same gameplay, exact same graphics, exact same movement, exact same physics, exact same sound... And now a SKATE game comes out every year... With only a redisigned level which probably won't be as good as the first one as it is too flat, boring, too realistic, only a little portion of tricks added... Yeah some of the things I mentioned weren't said in the interview but I know that is what SKATE 3 is going to be like. And no I am not a Tony Hawks fanboy. No wonder SKATE 2 was boring as I didn't get halfway through it and it just was covered in dust by the time I remembered it to trade in. I could make a list with all of the flaws but it would be too time consuming. I have to admit though the co-op feature sounds cool but I am not bothered with this game TBH. However, I can tell that this game is going to have so many annoying missions like the first two.

I enjoyed the first game... but I didn't really like Skate 2 that much, which seems weird because it was very similar.  I'm not really excited for Skate 3 at all.

Dude...for a game like this, Ya want it to be the same! believe me.

I'd hate for them to ruin the formula.

Dude, it's one spot. And last time I checked, you could do such a trick on such a surface. It's not that difficult, the only problem is landing it.

at least the graphics have improved.

look at this trailer from the first game. this came out a whole 2 years ago and looks just as good if not better. these new trailers bring out the worst in the stiff animation of the game. somewhere down the line they lost sight of what they wanted out of skate.

I enjoyed Skate 2 and the multiplayer options were cool but they coulda done more to keep people coming back.  Maybe this new "skate team" thing indicates that the game will have clan support.

Since this one will be set in a brand new city i wonder how they'll explain all the pro skaters moving from San Van to here storywise.  I know i shouldn't expect much from the story in a skate game but i'm curious to see what they come up with.

He cannot confirm nor deny the past consideration of the title "Skat3".
MrKloroxon Nov. 6, 2009 at 1:01 p.m.
I dunno. Might skip number 3 and wait for 4. THPS has taught me that every other skateboarding game in a franchise should usually be skipped.

The additions seem very slightly incremental and probably should have put it into Skate2. Then again I probably should have skipped 2 and bought 1 for cheap instead.
