    Overview

    Skunk Studios, LLC is an independent video game development studio formed in 2001. The company was initially formed by a group of employees formerly from Shockwave.com. The original name of Skunk Studios was Skunkworks Games, but was later changed to avoid any potential copyright issues with Lockheed Martin who had a division named Skunk Works.

    At one point in time Skunk Studios partnered with RealNetworks to allow them to distribute a larger catalog of games. In 2010 the partnership between Skunk Studios and RealNetworks, with Skunk Studios going on to partner with Big Fish Games to allow their games to be distributed on the Big Fish Games website.
