    Sonic Unleashed R3V13VV!!!1

If there is any game that will give you Stockholm syndrome, Sonic Unleash is that game. The day levels are simply a joy as each has great environments and level design. They are not perfect by any means as it will take you a couple of "WTFs!!!!" to get through some levels (the main one here is the ice levels) and the game designers got bored with the 2nd and 3rd Acts and made them very short (completing a couple of them in a minute will give you a "A." ) The jumping and swinging are off and will take you some time to get use to (until you play a better game.) And if you want to play more of these, well you better wait till night.

This game is set up the most evil way: If you want to play more pure Sonic, then collect these sun and moon tokens (each seperate) to advance. Its usually 10 tokens to unlock another stage. This wouldn't be a big deal unitl you realize that the most you can get out of a day stage is 4 and you can only play two Days Acts at a time. This means you have to play as the Werehog, this complete rip off of God of War.

What do you do in these stages? Well, you smash buttons on your controller since nothing feels right when you hit an enemy. If you do a charge punch, I expect the enemy have a reaction instead of its health bar dropping and him still attacking me. I want my punches to feel like the actually did something. The A.I in these battles are VERY defensive. They will block and block and block you while you try to remember the one move out of your 100 that's does a guard break. Flying enemies are even worse as they will sit up so high you can't attack till

    A) You try attacking and they attack after you miss
    or
    B) You grab one of them and try to throw them. Then the others will come after you.

The "auto-target" system is broken (in the night levels) as there will be times that it will say you can make the jump, then dissapear when you need it the most to grap on the side. Plus to add this on, the levels take up to 15-20 minutes to complete and the checkpoints are so bad. If I've beaten 3 waves of dipshits, I should have a checkpoint right there.

And everything else about the game? The settings all over the earth are bland and uninteresting. The music is shit, the story is even more shit, the dialog is (you guessed) is shit and the people are all deformed humans from "The Hills Have Eyes." The set up of this game makes me angry since I can't play more day levels even though I have enough sun tokens to unlock them. And the night levels just piss me off because of BS platforming and BS A.I.

If you want to enjoy what Sonic CAN be or want about 500 achievement points on one play through (you may need to check websites for three or four achievements) RENT or BORROW this game. Do not buy.

Sonic's history catches up with him. 0

How you'll feel about Sonic Unleashed largely depends on how you feel about Sonic the Hedgehog's foray in to the third dimension. In comparative terms, Unleashed is the best foot forward this franchise has had since the Dreamcast, and if you enjoyed something like Sonic Adventure 2, you'll probably enjoy Sonic Unleashed. Of course, there are more and more people these days who are tired of bad 3D Sonic games, and Sonic Unleashed probably won't change many minds contrary. Though it corrects many ...

Sonic Unleashed is definitely an improvement over Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) which often had bad gameplay, sometimes terrible controls, an annoying amount of loading screens and a bad storyline. However, Sonic Unleashed has improved on that.Sonic's levels are often quite linear, on rails and involve running as fast as possible across the level to the goal, avoiding obstacles, killing enemies, collecting rings and sometimes doing quick time events in the process. While this can sometimes be fun, i...
