Did you ever notice how in each level, you're always going down?

Just another touch of great in-game storytelling in this game.

The level design has you always descending. Literally and metaphorically. All the way down to hell.

    Play and you'll notice it.

@AssInAss: I did play the game but I felt you went up and down more than always down. Either way I see where you getting at.

Very nice observation. I think the elevator at the end would be the only particular distinction.

Didn't someone mention that on the GameSpot spoilercast that Jeff was on? Or am I just going crazy.

Honestly, I don't agree; there are a lot of times when you are either high up or going upwards - you even walk upstairs to get to the end...

The only game that I've really seen pull this metaphor off is Beneath a Steel Sky.

The elevator at the end would signal the truth in the downward trek. Although I agree with some other people, that while I did personally notice that a lot of the game had you going down, there were enough parts that had you going up as well that makes me question this metephor.
