Note that "predecessor" does not have an "s". I'm referring to 'Till The End Of Time. I played that game when it came out years ago and do not have good memories of it. I remember hating pretty much everything about it. It didn't feel Star Ocean-y enough for me. There was also something about the battle system that made it extremely frustrating for me: whenever an enemy would fall to the ground, the player could not hit it while it being in a "recovery animation". The monster was litterally immune for a second or two. Does this game have that or is it more in line with the first two?

As long as The Last Hope doesn't have a ridiculous "OMG TEH MATRIX!!!" plot twist like Till The End of Time, I'd say that it's a better game.

From what i remember Last Hope had a great battle system, just be prepared for bad voice acting and a cliche story....
