@thatprimeguy: I doubt you are alone, i just started playing yesterday and was looking for that stuff. Couldnt find the galaxy class Enterprise anywhere, they would have gotten my money if i had.

@psylah: Absolutely DO NOT spend Zen on XP boosts, or pets. They are dirt cheap by comparison on the in-game market, and you are throwing money away better spend on dilithium for the *cough*cough*... well that's another conversation. ;) I have a whole spreadsheet on bang-for-the-buck conversion between all the items available for both Zen and EC. Will post it next time I get it updated with the current market.

Some of the best character improvement options for yourself are 100 more DOFF slots. Even if you aren't a DOFFer it is handy to store up more to feed to the starbase. *cough* Costumes can be a nice treat, but again there are a few kinds available on the in-game market. The "Ships" and "Services" tabs are all system unlocks that you need to pay Zen for your characters. They will say if something is account-wide (mostly ships). If what you buy is delivered unbound to one character in a box, you can trade/resell it. If you want to splurge, look at the Bundles.

I'm pretty picky about what I buy, mainly because I don't PVP so I have to enjoy it for myself on my own terms. For example I'll get just one of the "trio pack" ships for $25, instead of paying $50 because I have no need to spend $25 on fitting (basically) two extra abilities. It's just a bad decision for me, when I could be happier with something else like a second overpriced ship. lol!

@nixon34: TNG's Galaxy Enterprise is a free ship choice at level 40 (Tier 4). You can optionally buy a Tier 4 Refit & skin as well from the C-store ($15), it looks awesome I can tell ya. Basically if you want to buy the C-store version of a ship that you can also choose for free at rank up, then choose a different free ship, since the one you buy gives you the free variant anyway. Then for the Uber version it's another $25 for the ol' Galaxy-X Dreadnought.

Remember you can pick any class of ship regardless of your captain's career. It's your Bridge Officer powers that really change how a ship performs.

This seems like a really good place to mention that a couple times every year, Cryptic has Ship Sales. Last year's models, priced to move! ;)

@fisk0: My ship naming convention for the SNL leader is all Suikoden characters. Currently in the Yam Koo. ;) For my Fed main it's Shakespeare titles, for KDF main it's Marvel villains. Haven't decided on Romulan yet... very first ship is the Durango (console codenames).

@brackynews: I went federation not klingon, that was the right side right? Did you send an invite before i made that choice? I missed the part in the first post about completing that first arc before asking to join.

@mrflibble: Fed is the right side to align with us, but the game very clearly told me that toon is in the opposing faction, which it hasn't done before, prior to choosing sides. Not to worry just yet, we shall try again later!
