I'm no crafting kind of guy. Yeah - I've always maxed 2 suitable crafting jobs for my WoW main and had at least one endgame alt for corresponding gathering professions. Min/maxing my stats and supporting my raid needs that way. In the ways of fun, crafting was not it. It is tedium. Tedium is like salt to the MMO-dish. Not too little, not too much - and everything has more meaning and purpose.
In SW:TOR, I'm now letting my companions do all the crafting and gathering - that's simply genious. Crafting like a Boss! I craft all-the-time now. Sending off my companion gathering stuff, then have him craft a tonne of items, then reverse engineering the stuff to learn higher tier receipes and getting back some resources. All the while I'm adventuring. If I run into a heroic zone, I'll just keep the companion at my side for a spell.
I believe we'll get 5 companions by the endgame. That's gonna be super sweet managing the crew. Not crafting like a bloody peon. Crafting - like a boss!
