Welcome to the tenth Giantbomb EU community Starcraft II tournament!

This tournament is open to players of all skill levels and you're welcome to come spectate even if you're not participating.

Rules:

- The tournament will be played in a double elimination format. This means you'll have to lose twice in order to be eliminated.

- The semi-final and final matches will be played as a Best-of-3.

- If a player drops from a match, he may request a rematch, assuming the match was relatively even.

- No cheating or use of exploits is allowed.

- Spectating other people's matches is allowed, assuming you don't have to play a match yourself. But please be courteous enough to leave if a player experiences lag due to a large number of spectators.

• Abyssal Caverns (4)

+ Map to play on will be determined by elimination. Each player will eliminate one map each until only one map remains to play on. (You can also just come to a consensus together on which map you want to play on)

+ In the Best-of-3's in the semi-final and final the loser gets to pick the map after the first game.

How to sign up:

Reply in this thread saying you'd like to enter. Official sign-ups will be at the start of the tournament in order to eliminate no-shows and to keep the number of Bye's to a minimum.

Posting your B.net ID and character code might also be a good idea. This'll allow me and the other participants to add you now, rather than the day of the tournament. This'll save some time and hassle.

You also need anEU Battle.net accountin order to participate.

I´m also making it a requirement this time for everyone to sign up using their own Challonge account. The advantage of this is that you´ll be able to report the outcome of your matches yourself, rather than waiting for me to update the brackets.

When:

The tournament is going to start on Saturday July 30th, 19:30 Central European Summer Time. (CEST)

Sign-ups will be open until 19:30 CEST, so make sure you sign-up in time or you'll be unable to participate.

I'll post the sign-up page on the day of the tournament. Bracket will be posted after sign-ups are closed.

Added the map pool now that the new maps are out. I added the new maps so we could try them out, although I don't know if people are going to pick them. I also decided to remove most of the popular maps like Xelnaga and Shattered Temple. I'm just trying to force people to play on maps they might not be comfortable on. I will most likely make a new map pool with other maps next tournament once we get an idea of what kind of maps are good and which aren't.

Also added the Hall of Fame for the European Tournaments, which contains the names of previous winners and links the the respective brackets.

We need to get jixashauser and runehammer in too, they did some fun commentaries last tourney. 
I was hoping to get them on skype so we can cast some games on stream.

It's a requirement because it's easier for me and you. You can report your own results and I've never received spam email from Challonge so there's nothing to worry about.

Enjoyed the tournament a lot, it felt really nice to play against some higher matched Platinum players and above for a chance and experiencing some quality play. Also thanks to  @Ineedaname for letting me take his place after he raped me with Reapers. Can't wait for the next one!
