Man, July is doing pretty good. I know all of this talk about Gom not wanting another Zerg winning (with this not vote map), but I think it will be very tough. At least one in the finals. With FruitDealer, Nestea, Leenock, July. Even with low numbers, Protoss players are playing very good as well. ZvP in the finals? That would be awesome. Despite GuineaPig didn't make it (kinda disappointed there) we still have MC, HongUN and GoBoogie.

July and Leenock are really amazing

The one's a legend already and the other is like only 16 or something...

I'd say it's quite possible that a Zerg wins this thing again

July is gonna win this.

Also, what Idra said a million years ago is 100% true. When Zerg was awful top Zerg players had to make themselves a hell of a lot better than Terran or Protoss players had too. Now that Zerg is fixed they are dominating. The only pro player that seems to even be making en effort to get better vs Zerg is Fauxer.

his TvP is pretty good i guess, watch his matches vs socke and TTone from MLG dallas... especially the one vs socke on desert oasis

Socke is quite famous to have a really really strong PvT on that map

also choyas games vs mvp weren't really impressive imho, i expected waaaaaay more out of MVP than that... the game those two showed on blistering sands was quite terrible imho...
choya was in a huge lead, gave it away and got it back for free because MVP gave offered his army on a silver platter in the end

i really hope jinro 3-0's him... my mind won't be able to handle a 2-2 situation

@raiz265: I do think both of them didn't gave their best on that match and I do prefer Jinro facing a top-form Choya than a top-form mvp. However, if Choya present its best game I don't think Jinro will win easily. I think that in that case the chances will be 50-50.

The only thing I hope is that Jinro doesn't get nervous and start to think too much on being able to reach the last four. He is playing so solid and so good it would be a shame if the nerves start to kick in and starts making mistakes.

I don't know much of Starcraft 1 tournaments history, but Jinro is close on making history by being a non-korean and going to the 1/2 finals, I believe.

Only building marines is really gimmicky, and some day, someone is going to figure out some way to smash the all marine army and this whole marine+scv all in thing will disappear, and Marineking/Foxer will return to being a normal pretty good terran.

Jinro had so many vikings, and was like 20 workers ahead of choya, he would have literally needed to win that fight by about 30-40 supply to even have a chance. Choya had so little income, he was always around 300/100 towards the end of the game, while jinro was maxed and floating like 2k/1k for a long time. You never know though.

I was really surprised how little damage the banshee did. Maybe I just don't know that much about PvT, but I sort of expected him to be impossibly ahead after that. He really wasn't that far ahead after the banshees.

If Choya was planning to go to a long game those banshee kills would have more weight. But, Choya only wanted to gathered a big army and go for the kill so probes weren't that important.

If Choya was planning to go to a long game those banshee kills would have more weight. But, Choya only wanted to gathered a big army and go for the kill so probes weren't that important.

Man, that last game was so tense. Really close right up until the end. I wonder how much of a difference the thermal lance would have made.

I was freaking out for the last 10 minutes of that game but it really wasn't that close. Jinro had so many vikings, and was like 20 workers ahead of choya, he would have literally needed to win that fight by about 30-40 supply to even have a chance. Choya had so little income, he was always around 300/100 towards the end of the game, while jinro was maxed and floating like 2k/1k for a long time. You never know though.

That reaper was pure gold. I am so happy that Jinro made it. Tiny mistakes, but all in all a great game from him. Choya played very solid as well. Against MC though, it will be a lot different.

I was really surprised how little damage the banshee did. Maybe I just don't know that much about PvT, but I sort of expected him to be impossibly ahead after that. He really wasn't that far ahead after the banshees.

Because even if you are going all-in, or for a timing attack, losing that many workers is always huge. Even if choya had won that huge fight, he still would have lost the game because he didn't have enough probes to rebuild his army fast enough.

@Arkanti: True, but those latter attacks by that banshee resulted in like two less stalkers or something. Really nothing that could change the match.

He killed like 10 more probes after the initial harassment, which is what I was referring to.
