    A great RTS

To be honest, I'm not very good at RTS. I enjoy them, but i completely and totally suck ass. I heard SCII was a good game, so I picked it up.
Just like every other RTS, I suck at it. However, I can safely say that this is the RTS I had the most fun with. The campaign is very fun, and the story is very interesting, but I think that you could appreciate it more if you played the first Starcraft and had any idea what the hell they were talking about half the time. They try and set the story up for newcomers but it took me a while to get the whole jist of it. I thought going into it that every mission would amount to making more troops and having a better economy than the AI in terms of minerals (which you need to create troops) and gas. (to make special troops w/ minerals) How wrong I was. Very early on in the campaign, very fun and varied missions start arising, like a colony infested with zerg infested terrans (zombies) where you have to protect your camp by night, and go around destroying infected structures by day. There are a lot of cool and creative missions like this, and it keeps you guessing what the game will pull on you next.
The multiplayer, I'm sad to say isn't as good. If you like RTS, I'm sure you'll love it, I on the other hand, could not get into it. I suck, as I've gotten across, and I never really had fun getting owned by people who are supposed to be just as good as me. But if you're into RTS MP, they have a ladder system where they pair you up with people with the same skill level as you. So if you're good, you'll get paired with someone who's good.
All in all, SCII is great fun, even if you're an RTS noob like me. So if you're on the fence about it because you're not good, don't woory just don't play MP :p.

Not Just a Fresh Coat of Paint 0

Starcraft 2 is a game that’s been a long time coming.   It’s also a game that’s gotten a whole mess of negative sentiment from what I can only hope is the usual vocal minority on the internet who condemn games like this based on some weird bizzaro-world metric for what makes games fun.   That said, let’s go ahead and get those concerns out of the way.   Starcraft 2 is not Starcraft 1 with a shiny new coat of paint.   When you buy Starcraft 2, you are not paying $60 for 1/3 of a game.   If thos...

StarCraft II was worth the wait. 0

It’s here. After twelve long years, StarCraft II is finally here! And I’m here to give you the run-down of how things are in the world of StarCraft. Enjoy your stay!   I bought the collector’s edition. I normally don’t buy collector’s editions, but I actually really respect Blizzard’s games. They’re pretty much perfect on release, and when you buy a Blizzard game, you know you’re buying quality. It’s like buying a Valve game. The packaging is pretty awesome. It’s made of cardboard, but it’s n...
