B Marq's second UndergroundTL Street Fighter IV Tournament doubled our turn out and sky-rocketed our expectations. Now we're ready to blow this up for real at a brand new warehouse venue near downtown L.A.

Lovers and fighters, we welcome you to the next evolution:
UGTL presents Street Fighter IV Tournament Party: The 3rd Strike

$10 cover charge- includes open bar access (FREE BOOZE!)
18+ to enter
21+ to drink (FREE BOOZE!!!)
$1 tacos

Tournament registration begins at 12pm and ends at 2:30pm SHARP!
$10 registration fee

Last tournament held on 08/09/09 led to Mike Ross taking 1st, Jose Vega coming in at 2nd, and Danny Reynoso finishing it up in 3rd place.

At this event, matches will be held on the Xbox 360 only. This will be a bring your own controller affair, but there will be house controllers for those that don't bring their own (arcade sticks and controllers).

That is about an hour away from my house, 10 hours if there is traffic. Sounds interesting.

Ha, there is no way I am going. I am pretty confident in my Ken, but nowhere close to "beat Mike Ross" confident. Think I will get drunk as hell in the comfort of my home and beat random nubs on live :)

@Napalm: No shit! I did not even factor in the alcohol effect :( I have played once wasted, and that was against Gambit like 2 months ago. Needless to say, I did not do to well.

We're bearing this in mind for the next one in October, especially now that we're getting more and more attention from pros. We don't want to steer amateurs away, but we're still working these things out.

@sxezskoz: Yeah, how about knocking us scrub players handicap all the way to max! Playing in person is shit-in-my-pants inducing enough...playing against a pro would just be mind blowing. 
 
I hope it goes well for you. I for one will keep practicing, hopefully one day I can play competitively.
