    Overview

    Strike Fighters: Project 1 was announced in April 2002, said to be the first combat flight sim focused on the early jet age, where the player would get to experience the rapid evolution of technology throughout the 50's and 60's over the course of its campaign. The game's launch in October the same year ended up a fiasco as an unfinished build of the game had been sent out to production and had to be recalled. Three months later the game had it's "official" release, but met average reviews as the game still had plenty of bugs and was thin on content.
