The fifth and final Nintama Rantarou licensed game for the Super Famicom. The game retains the gameplay of the two previous core games, throwing the three heroes into a mix of platforming and mini-game action.
The first game based on the Nintama Rantarou anime developed by Culture Brain in 1995. Followed by numerous sequels on multiple systems.
A side-scrolling action game for the Sega Genesis and part of Sega's long-running Shinobi franchise. It is the direct sequel to Revenge of Shinobi.
The first Super Nintendo entry in Culture Brain's martial arts-based beat 'em up series Super Chinese. It was renamed Super Ninja Boy for the US release.
Often considered the franchise's pinnacle, The Revenge of Shinobi features a wide variety of locations, and a soundtrack by Yuzo Koshiro of Streets of Rage fame. In early versions, it also featured bosses who bore a striking resemblance to characters not owned by Sega.
Distinct from the Arcade and Genesis versions, Strider for the NES features a more complex, Metroid-style structure, where Hiryu gains abilities throughout the game that grant access to new areas. The story draws heavily from the Strider manga.
Step into the shoes of the ninja Ryu Hayabusa as he goes on a quest to avenge his father's unexpected death.
A 1987 Arcade game. The player takes control of Joe Musashi, a master ninja whose mission is to rescue all of the hostages. SEGA's ninja game predates Ninja Gaiden for the NES and includes challenging platforming, first-person mini-games, and scaleable difficulty.
