this blog was intended as a place to keep quality footage of Evil Ryu in one easy place. It's convenient that I don't need to navigate multiple youtube pages, stream links, or fighting game forums. It is not intended as a guide, it's more of a showcase, or reference. I realized other people might benefit and/or be interested in seeing these videos, as finding quality combo videos and matches is hard unless you visit fighting game sites with any sort of regularity, so I also posted this blog here on the SF forums so any Giant Bombers also interested in evil ryu can benefit from the videos.

You...know there's a specific section of the site dedicated to guides, right? Just click on the word in the sidebar for the game. IMO, that would be a better place for this than on the forums.

These videos would be cool if we ever got Evil Ryu on consoles.

At least he's giving it a go. Good starting guide. I hadn't seen 1 or 2 of those videos there. To be honest I am 100x more interested in playing/fighting Oni than anything Evil Ryu but hey. Some people like him a lot.

I approve of this post! Looking through endless amounts of bad quality vids on youtube is always a pain when your looking for new stuff.
 
Like Scooper I think Oni looks more interesting but I'm still interested to see what E. Ryu can do. His Overhead kick is pretty cool.

As much as I love SF4, the release of AE has been too long coming. I don't have the time or patience to attempt to play a game competitively any more when life has ploughed on.
 
I'll probably give both a brief bash when it's eventually released (if it's DLC, and not disc-based as rumoured), but nowhere near as seriously as I used to play.

for anyone interested, and didn't watch the entire guard crush 15 stream, I updated the page with Chris G playing Evil Ryu. It was a fantstic set with some great combos doing as much as 40% on stanfords Sagat.

I was hoping he would be mid-tier, but he looks really good in those guard crush videos.
