    Superman

Game » consists of 2 releases. Released May 31, 1999

More commonly known as "Superman 64," this action-adventure based on Superman: The Animated Series is often cited as one of the worst video games ever made. Much of its gameplay consists of flying through rings under a strict time limit.

Wish i could give it negative 0 stars

Superman 64, Oh boy... Let's dive into the history before the review.

    The History

Development of the game was largely hampered by constraints from DC Comics and Warner Bros., resulting in it being unfinished and of a poor quality. BlueSky Software attempted to re-do the game for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn, but due to Titus' expiration of the Warner Bros. license by the time it was completed, it was cancelled. So the game was crap. So now that you know, LET'S START THE REVIEW!

    The Graphics

Jesus Christ, The graphics are horrible. Green fog, spazzy character animation, muddy graphics. This game is easily the worst looking N64 game. Horrible, just horrible.

    The Story

Lex Luthor has created a virtual version of Metropolis and manages to trap Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen and Professor Emil Hamilton within it. Superman enters the portal to the virtual world, where Luthor tells him that he must fly through his maze of rings scattered across virtual Metropolis. After completing the rings task, Superman realizes he must save his friends from the virtual realm. Villains he battles along the way include Parasite, Darkseid, Brainiac, Mala and Metallo. At the end of the game, Superman frees his friends from virtual Metropolis, but Lex manages to escape, ending it on an unresolved cliffhanger.

    The Gameplay

Holy crap! The gameplay sucks! So you fly through rings as superman, and save Virtual people. yay. The controls are spazzy and it is a challenage to fly..... The game never tells you what to do. Like on one part in the game, You need to blow out the tournatos. That doesn't make any sense? Right. Well, They say you need to punch them away.... Pardon my language, but WHAT THE HELL!!!!

    The Music

    *Insert generic superhero music here*

    The Problem

Don't play this crap. Even if you are curious... DON'T do it. Everything in this game is crap on toast with shit on the top.

    The verdict

    The Story 0/10

    The Gameplay 0/10

    The Music 0/10

    The Problem 0/10

    FINAL SCORE

0/10 The worst game on the planet.

Superman 64 is an insult to mankind much less to gaming itself 0

Superman 64 is probably the worst game ever created. There is no positive aspect about this game. It seemed as though the company, Titus, decided to take all the best aspects about the Superman comic books and movies and disregard them, except choosing to follow the show, Superman: The Animated Series, adding along a 3 enemies and 2 bosses. The story of Superman 64 is very simple. Lex Luthor, the main villain in the Superman comics, has decided to kidnap Superman's friends and take them through...

Nothing but a waste of everyone's time, even the time of the poor souls who play this. 0

Even though the official title is "Superman", it is commonly known as "Superman 64", likely due to Nintendo's marketing strategy of placing '64' in the title of many of its games on the N64. This game is a prime example of unnecessary executive meddling. Titus originally envisioned the game to be open-world and even made a lot of destructible levels, but Warner Bros. was paranoid about Titus taking on the project and told them exactly what they wanted while watching the game through a microsc...
