Switch Balls are special teleporters found in Hang Castle and Mystic Mansion and have different functions in these levels of Sonic Heroes. The active switch ball glows as the area is not altered; the inactive switch ball is the irreversable switch after it triggered. If a team touches the glowing switch ball, the blue light on the center of the screen and the symbol particles will permeate. In Hang Castle, the switch ball inverts the gravity after touching it (including to Robot Storm). In Mystic Mansion, the switch ball simply teleports the players directly into a different place in the level. Once triggered, teams cannot return to the area where they came from.
