    Overview

Taisen Hot Gimmick 3: Digital Surfing is a riichi mahjong (two-player variant) eroge developed and released by Psikyo for arcades in Japan in 1999.

The third in the Taisen Hot Gimmick series of "strip mahjong" games (and the sequel to Taisen Hot Gimmick Kairakuten), Digital Surfing features a technology theme centered around playing mahjong against women over the internet.

Both standard and Taisen modes make a return (with the Taisen Mode pitting Jan Prince against Jan Shogun), along with a new live-action single-player mode starring Jan Boy (son of Jan America from the previous game) as he travels to Japan to search for his father.

Along with a standard port to the PC (on May 21, 2004) by My Harvest, the game was later ported to the PlayStation 2 in Japan, which was released by X-Nauts on April 28, 2005 as Taisen Hot Gimmick: Axes-Jong. Similar to the "Cosplay-jan" port of the first game, this version censors all nudity (with defeated opponents wearing underwear) while adding bonus game modes (including a single-player version of Taisen Mode). This version was later ported by Zerodiv to the Nintendo Switch in Japan as a digital release (as Taisen Hot Gimmick: Axes-Jong for Nintendo Switch) by City Connection on July 5, 2018.
