Overview
In Shadowrun, for Games for Windows and Xbox 360, FASA Studios programmed the teleport ability as part of the magic repertoire available to players. It allows players who have bought it to instantly travel a short distance in the direction of their momentum (you teleport directly up when jumping straight up, for example). To balance the ability, FASA does not allow players to telefrag other players by teleporting into the space they occupy in the game, and the cost of purchase is slightly higher than the starting funds each player begins the match with, except for humans as a part of their natural race bonus. Trying to teleport into a solid space, i.e. a thick cavern wall, will result in either reducing the players teleport distance, or causing the spell to fail altogether.
