So Igns review leaked but only in video format, so I decided to just make a review thread for the game in general!
EDIT: Here is a pretty good round up of the game from somebody who got their hands on it early. Pretty excited for tomorrow! Amazon better move their asses!

    IGN: 7/10
     EGM: 8/10
    Gamespot: 7.5/10
    G4: 4/5
     Cheat Code Central: 4/5
Marvel Tv 87/100 (I don't take this very seriously but I think the review does have some good info, anyway)

From the IGN review it sounds like a good (or to me great) spiderman game and the positives outweigh the negatives. Pretty excited to get my hands on it honestly.

I think I'm going to wait for the PC version of this one, to get the best out of the city visuals.

You know, I really want to play the game. That being said it REALLY puts me off when a company goes out of its way to keep reviews off the net until the game is released.

If I remember correctly, Spider-Man 2's graphics weren't that impressive and the boss battles sucked in that game as well. So...yeah. Doesn't sound too bad.

Especially since IGN's review isn't going up until 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern according to Greg Miller on Twitter.

Man, I really want this to be good. I've been craving a good open-world Spidy game since Spider-Man 2.

I'm curious to see how this one turns out.

Although, I feel like nothing can top the PS1 Spiderman game that came out back in 2000.

I always thought it was kind of weird that they marketed the game as taking place "after" the events of the movie.

It's sort of like, er, I guess Spider-Man wins at the end of the movie, then?

I will probably trade some stuff in for it, doesn't seem like it's worth 60 bucks but for 20-30 I'm cool with it.

Spiderman 2 was amazing, it looked good at the time too. 3D open world was a fairly new concept.

Last time a Spiderman game got me excited it was the ultimate spiderman for the ps2, I really loved that game when it came out, I cleared the map of every single boring sidequest and everything there was to be done. Hope this one is any good, I'm due for some more web swinging

That swinging mechanic seemed like such a simple solution. I feel like letting Spidey swing from the sky is just plain lazy. But I like a lot of what I read in the Marvel Tv review, so I dunno. I'll have to read more before making my decision on the game.

I've removed everything from my rental list, just to make sure when my next game is sent out its this one.

Looks pretty cool, seems to be taking influence from bats though which can only be a good thing

Ultimate Spider-man was pretty great. It helped that it was based on the comics and actually had a good story, unlike the Spider-man 2 game, which was pretty horrible when you weren't just swinging around. I really wish they'd do a sequel to that. Isn't their a cartoon series they could base it off now?

Kind of off topic, but I'd love another Batman game that takes place in the Batman Forever. If it had an open world similar to Arkham City I'd but it in a heart beat.

The Spectacular Spider-Man that got canned a few years ago was really great. A game based off it would be awesome. The new Ultimate Spider-Man show that's not based off the actual Ultimate Spider-man isn't so great

@BormahAl: Lego Batman might be what you're looking for, if you don't mind the Lego thing.

It's pretty much guaranteed we'll get an open world Lego Avengers/Spider-man game at some point too.

It really puts me off when a person is so paranoid that he thinks it's some sort of conspiracy to hide the score when the company has an embargo on game reviews. They put the embargo in place to get on the front page of the site on release day (AKA free advertising). And when people see it they hopefully say "OH SHIT I CAN GET THAT NOW". Otherwise you see it then a day or so goes by and you've moved on. Not to mention how god damn hard it is to find anything on IGN once it's off the front page.

Maybe I should have been more specific. I want a Batman Beyond game with they same gameplay style as Arkham City.

I'm glad to see Beenox made another good spidey game and the tie-in curse didn't overly harm it. Excited to play this at some stage.

One thing I loved about the PS1 Spider-Man games was they had the different unlockable costumes that we're wildly different in the way that they looked but they also had different stats.
