Anyone know if it is possible to convert (or if simply moving them to the correct folder) saved games saved while playing a non-steam version of the game will work so that you can pick up where you left off at?

I borrowed a copy of Oblivion from a friend of mine who wanted it back before I completed it so that I couldn't finish the game.  I had about 80 hours in the game and was excited when a Steam version was announced.

Also, I was using the Unofficial Patch for the game and I'm hoping that doesn't affect the saved game files.

Oblivion puts it's save files in My Documents so you shouldn't even have to move files around, your saves will be there.  Make sure you download the unofficial patch and any other mods you may have installed before, though, or your game could get corrupted.

I'll give this a shot next week and report back if I'm able to get it all up and running.  I actually still have the full install of the game from my previous play still on my computer.
