    The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.

    I'm gonna get this game, but I'm not sure if my computer would be able to run it, and I'm not savvy enough to figure it out myself. My specs are as follows: 
    AMD Phenom II Quad-core (2.2 GHz) 
    AMD Radeon 6470M 
    4 GB DDR3

    I'm willing to bet that you'll probably be able to run it on low to mid graphics settings fineish.

    I really don't think you should sweat it I doubt it it's going to a debacle like BFBC2 was on the PC. They've said all a long that Skyrim is designed for the consoles so the barrier of entry is going to lower then a PC centric game like BF3.  I wouldn't be suprised if the specs for Skyrim arn't terrible different then Fallout: New Vegas or even Oblivion
