    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

    The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races.     The swedish parts in the Arn movies, Arn: The Knight Templar and Arn: The Kingdom at Road's End. The main plot is like Kingdom of Heaven, just centered around a swedish Knight in Jerusalem.
    BUT. The secondary plot back in Sweden is totally awesome. All about different clans that have a right to the throne and such. Worth a watch.
     
    I can't believe I forgot the two obvious ones from my childhood.

    I'd say the Lord of the Rings trilogy because Bethesda's artists were definitely inspired by WETA's work on the film and Jeremy Soule's soundtrack sounds like it'd be at home in the movies. I felt the same way with Oblivion, but in a lesser extent.

    I watched Valhalla Rising last night on IFC again. Although that movie is weird and existential as fuck, it reminds me of Skyrim.

    Can I add music? I don't know what it would be like if I spoke Icelandic, but the Mótettukór Hallgrímskirkju has a similar feeling to the music in Skyrim.
