Hey guys.

I got this recently on the 360, and after 90+ hours on the PS3 version swapped over. Now, on my Ps3, I was playing a nightingale. Super stealthy, archery and knifing. I've restarted as a heavy mage character, conjuration/destuction and the like. I've been toying with the idea of hiring a permanent follower, someone that can kinda watch my ass as I go along. Are there any kind of warrior/tanky characters that any of you rate? I'd appreciate the help, thank you!

@Matoya: I think Mjoll the Lioness is one of the only followers who cannot be killed, since she is an essential character. She's a pretty good one-handed weapon + shield tank, from what I read.

She can be found in Riften.

I second Mjoll in Riften. She's essential, a fellow adventurer with a good attitude and she doesn't bitch when you ask her to carry stuff. She talks too much though.

You have to be level 14 I believe before she'll give you her quest. Once you complete that quest she'll travel with you.

Barbas all the way.

You can turn just about any follower into a tank. Just give them some heavy armor and a good weapon.

I personally like Eola, she's a fairly well rounded mage, with some good destruction and conjuration skills.

When I get to it Im gonna roll with Derkeethus. 

Man, I kept Faendal alive forever; he was awesome. Until that dang undead mage took him out... It broke my heart. ;_;

Most of the followers are pretty good if you equip them well and manage them.
