Really a special experience and the result of an incredible vision and attention to detail. The standard to which this game is being held by some gamers is ludicrous. Incredibly dark and difficult to stomach but if you can enjoy that type of story you're in for something special. There has never been a game like this and a universe this well developed.
Played unspoiled at launch

The Last of Us Part 2 is a big budget AAA sequel to a game that didn’t need one and features a brutal story that doesn’t know how to end. The graphics are highly polished with visuals out of a blockbuster movie. The narrative features expertly crafted cinematography and motion capture. The game is also extremely violent with depictions of gore, torture and dismemberment.
