The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap Review

The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, does a great job of bringing the epic adventures of Link to the GBA, and exceeds on many levels that make it an awesome game.

The Minish Cap starts off with Link in his old house and is awoken by Princess Zelda to attend a festival in Hyrule Town with her. Later on, with princess Zelda at the Hyrule Castle, a new villian named Vaati intrudes the castle grounds and ends up breaking a sacred sword called the Picori Blade. He then puts a curse on the princess, which turns Zelda to Stone. When all attention comes to link, you take his role and, with a new partner named Ezlo(Hat), will have to re-mend the Picori Blade and break the curse on Princess Zelda.

There are many aspects of the game that make it so fun and absolute. One of these aspects I'm talking about is the way the Dungeons and puzzles are conceived. Like all previous Zelda games, this one shares the same clever dungeons that make the gameplay even more stand out than other games similar to it. Also, the controls in game are like always very tight and easy to learn. The graphics are very superb and surpass many other GBA titles in visuals. Plus, it still has that cartoony look from Wind Waker for the Cube, making the game fun for your eyes. In addition, the core game features of The Minish Cap make it a very fun game to play at any age and also makes the value increase.

Although the game holds strong pros in its features, it still has some cons to go with it. The Minish Cap is a big game with many objectives to complete and this might get newbies to the game, a bit bored and lost within the game. Also, like all previous Zelda's, if you happen to get a game over in the game, you have to start at the beginning of where you started, instead of starting where you were last at in the dungeon. This can get irritating especially when you are in big dungeons that don't have necessary checkpoints that you would wish to have. These cons do make the game a bit bad in some spots and may push away some people from playing the game.

Ultimately, The game itself is epic and fun in almost every part of the game. Zelda fans should not be disappointed in this GBA installment and overall is a must have for every GBA owner.

An Excellent Farewell to Sprite-based Zelda 0

The Minish Cap is the first and likely will be the only original Zelda game for the Game Boy Advance.  Any chance of ever putting the Zelda series in some semblance of chronological order has long dissolved, and Minish Cap proves that.  The game gives yet another take on the land of Hyrule by mixing elements from almost every single Zelda game of old.  Hyrule Castle is of course present, as is the Lon Lon Ranch.  Link's house, where he lives with his uncle of course, is still just south of t...

      Short but sweet 0

The Legend of Zelda – The Minish Cap continues the collaboration between Capcom and Nintendo established with the Oracle games on GameBoy Color.  What makes Minish Cap exciting is the combination of the new shrinking game play mechanic and a return to colorful 2d graphics.  Featuring entirely new tilesets and character sprites in the vein of Four Swords Adventures, Minish Cap is one of the last 2D Zelda games released.
