    LOTR RPG

I didn't have huge expectations for this game but i was surprised when i eneded up enjoying the game despite all of the reveiws i've read. This is why i have decided to make my own reveiw of the game.

The game starts off with an elf and a human battling there way through middle earth, each with there own quests and objectives, you are later joined by other charcters and by the time you complete the game you control 6 charcters ( only three can battle at a time). the battles are fairly simplse and any RPG fan should know the classes, you can use melee, spirit and leadership attacks as well as using them for your own personal gain. As you battle through hordes of orcs and goblin you unlock more moves and gain equipment and items, although there is alot of exploring in some parts, the battle of helms deep and minas tirith just have you fighting hordes of orcs and there are only a few types so soon the enemies get boring and it will feel like grinding through the scene rather then iving the epic battle of Tolkien's world.

Although the enemies get boring and there is alot of grinding you will never have to waste time levelling up, when you do level up you gain points which you can spend on things like accuracy and spirit powers. Other then this charcters unlock more moves but you can choose to expand in one area spending more stats and unlocking more moves

There is no money in the game so you can't buy items butyou do get them after battles and you can find them in chests, there are plently of items, most of which are known to Lord of The Rings fans, like Lembas and other items. You will never feel the need to get more items and by the end of the game you will have lots left, but you can equip charcters with special stones which let them create items in the in game battle. Weapons and armour are judged by a simple number and don't have any special abilities, but other then this you can get polished and cracked elfstones which will improve a charcters accuracy spirits and so on. Each charcter can have up to 4 elfsotnes.

Although the story is not brilliant it gives a feel to the Lord Of The rings universe and brings in epic battles such as the battle at Minas Tirith. The game uses scenes from the movies to illisturate what is going on, they are voiced by Gandalf. For the beggining of the game the party follows the fellowship but then they turn to rohan, helms deep and Osgiliath. Throughout the game you learn about each charcters past but you never really feel attached to them.

The game is a solid RPG but the battles soon wear you down and the story isn't very intersting, but if you like LOTR and RPG's then you should definelty give this game a try.

please comment this is my first reveiw!
