I look forward to forgetting about this game so I can play it again!
I'm going to keep this short and sweet: The Talos Principle is a great game and I am enjoying the hell out of it. The puzzles are satisfying and just fast enough where I don't feel bored if I hit a rut. The visuals are gorgeous. The UI and design is immersive and easy to navigate. The story, while not everyone's cup of tea, is deep, complex, thoughtful and very 'meta', though the exposition only goes into detail with the terminal interactions that pepper each level and can be avoided quite easily.
Essentially, you are a robot that has awoken from a marble slab in the ancient ruins of humanity. Whether this is reality or some sort of virtual fever dream is the big question. Solving 3D, 1st person puzzles is the key to the answer and the puzzles, while sometimes repetitive, are generally well done and interesting. The puzzle design itself is very similar to the portal series which is often credited with some very inventive easter eggs. I think it's safe to say that if you liked portal, you'll probably enjoy this game.
It's priced on the higher end compared to most puzzle games, but this is a premium product and is well worth the money. This game is great, I don't know what else to say other than check out the quicklook and try it for yourself.
