Anyone else think it's crazy the game gives you such overpowered item from the DLC and Import? I imported my TW save and got, from what I hear, The best Jacket, Steel, Silver Swords.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released May 17, 2011
The sequel to 2007's critically acclaimed role-playing game, The Witcher. Players again take control of Geralt of Rivia in this story-focused adventure.
Overpowered Item?
@Marz:
G'valchir - Damage 10 – 12, 2% Change for instant kill. - 3 Rune Slots
Moonblade - Damage 14 – 22, Damage bonus on Signs +5, Bleeding +25% - 3 Rune Slots
yah i imported that g'valchir too, they will be too weak in chapter 1 where you will find significant upgrades. The raven jacket will probably last alot longer if you don't craft anything to replace it.@Marz:

Items from The Witcher will only last you until the end of Chapter I. That being said, I had Mage's trousers until I got the best trousers in the game.
But yeah, the time intervals where you receive upgrades for armor (Chest pieces are excluded from this, I think they're very well done) is kind of ridiculous. You have to roll with the same gloves/trousers/boots for the most of the game and then right before the very end you get the best items. Unless I am missing significant details here.
To give some perspective, the swords you can craft towards the end of the game do about
base damage.

No, they are not that powerful and get replaced partway through the first chapter.

the only thing really OP is the herbalist gloves, which gives you x2 ingredients when you harvest something. I NEVER ran out of regents. I even made 50 zerrikerian sun bombs or w/e :P
The joke is that there is no shortage of ingredients in the first place.

There are several small gloves/boots/trousers upgrades throughout the game.
I thought I'm gonna spend a lot of time in the darkness so I put some herbalist gloves on and searched for ingredients. Now I've got like 30 of cat potions. :|the only thing really OP is the herbalist gloves, which gives you x2 ingredients when you harvest something. I NEVER ran out of regents.
