This isn't a huge deal but it seems like the random NPC's only have one line of dialogue and they will repeat it EVERY TIME you go near them. it gets pretty annoying after i've heard "Odrin? Here boy!" a million times. Other than that awesome game.

What is up with the NPCs
Hmm. After seeing their immersion video, in which they discussed how 'every NPC will have a routine of their own, and many lines of dialogue; effectively bringing the world alive', this is really disappointing.

The conversations they have are quite interesting, I find myself stopping sometimes just to overhear a conversation. However, after you've heard it, the magic wears off. But what do you expect? For them to spend hundreds of hours making up conversations so every time you walk by (which is a lot) you hear something different? Not a big deal in my books.Well, vaguely disappointing....sort of.*downloads TW2*

GOG for me; would've been Steam (virtually all my other PC games are), but I wanted to support them and the deal was better.
Win/Win.

@Vitor said:....Why does he carry two swords? Does he lose them often? He needs a separate silver sword to deal with monsters.Ugh. Yeah. Wish they'd record a little more for variety's sake....

@Venatio said:Either this, or just straight up FUCK THE LILIES. Temeria's flag/coat of arms/whatever is a bunch of white lilies. I think.PLOUGH THE LILLIES!Seriously what the hell is that?Fuck the women.
Haha, I'm loving L.A. Noire but I too have noticed that line frequently.L.A. Noire is worse for this. If I hear that guy telling me he's 'thinking about moving up to a .45' cuz he wants to 'put 'em down in one round' one more time..I'll decapitate myself with my shoe laces. Also: 'Can geeeerrlls becaaam witchaaaas toooooo?' -- Fuck you, kid.
There is a specific quest in Witcher 2 that directly references this line of dialogue. Are you people forgetting the best line from The Witcher 1:
It is NOT subtle at all!
My favorite so far is that guy who tells that long ass story in the camp where Cedric has his tree fort. The one that begins something like... "everybody sitting comfortably? Then listen." Man that guy will tell that story ANYWHERE and ANYTIME... and to NO ONE. I walked into his house and there he was lying in bed eyes closed and snoring but sure enough his mouth was moving telling that story... at least twice... Walking into camp alone... telling that story, etc. Gave me the chuckles.
@Contro said:I definitely think this is what they mean. "Fuck the women" doesn't sound too much like a war cry/insult. While "Fuck <insert whatever nation your fighting against>" seems much more logical in war. And indeed, Temeria's flag has lilies painted on black background.@Venatio said:Either this, or just straight up FUCK THE LILIES. Temeria's flag/coat of arms/whatever is a bunch of white lilies. The absolute worst instance of this wasn't the 'Odriiiiin, here boy', oh no it was when I actually wanted to listen to an NPC's story outside Flotsam, there was a bunch of people sitting around a fire but I couldn't here him because these annoying kids kept following me asking why I carry two swords or something, if only I could talk to them and there was a line of dialogue like 'Ones for killing monsters the other is for killing annoying kids who don't leave me alone!!!'

Other than that, I didn't encounter too many repeating lines. At least no one told me that my mother sucks dwarf cock yet.
