Granted it's a great puzzle game and the island contains many mysteries, but I swear I keep seeing faces, figures and silhouettes in objects that creep me out. Anyone else seeing these? Not sure if that's going to directly tie into the story later or if it's just to mess with the player.

There's a lot of weird little things in this game in the enviroment. Branches that look like eyes, branches that look bugs, some rocks that look like a deer, a cliff that looks like a person, the sillhoutte that @dgtlty pointed out. It can feel a little strange.

That boat had some pretty creepy noises if you go down the stairs, that bamboo forest also.

I think the reason it can be creepy (at least for me) is that throughout the game you are constantly searching for iconography within the environment, be that for puzzles or just finding your way around (since you can't pull up a map on your menu). Because of this, the unknown nature of your surroundings, and the lack of stimuli in the game (almost nothing moves, no ambient audio besides your footsteps) everything that you see or that occurs has an immense weight to it (figuratively speaking). It is that great sense of weight to what is occurring around you and almost no understanding of it that can quite scary.

Holy shit, I haven't noticed any of these creepy shadows you guys are finding. Huh. This game definitely creeped me out at first, mostly due to the audio. The way the footsteps sound and the eerie wind made me feel like I was being watched/followed and I actually jumped once and I have no idea why. Just suddenly got the creeps in that moment. That was all within the first 3 or so hours though. I'm 100% acclimated to it now.

There's definitely an eerie vibe basically everywhere. I think @katpottz post really rings true. My heart jumps almost every time solving a puzzle has some kind of mechanical effect on another physical object. The stillness and quiet keeps me on edge.

Earlier today I actually turned a corner in a spot I'd never noticed before and was so startled I had to stop myself from jumping out of my chair. It was a statue of a tiny puppy.

Yeah there's definitely some weirdness, did anyone notice the ambiance while walking inside the bamboo? It was unnerving and I just wanted to get out of there.

@aethelred: You should actually look down at the reflection in the water, it makes a lot more sense then
