That's shown at the end of the secret ending, there are videos out and about so it's definitely real. Thoughts?
Edit: Here's a video of it.
Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Jul 27, 2007
I thought the combat system never really came together (are you seriously suppose to keep track of everyone's ridiculous matching games, and still manage to dodge and attack with Neku? and the boss fights are a pain). And the plot leaving out huge details, then needing to find ridiculous secret reports to learn more.
I can appreciate it to some extent and getting a sequel would be good news, but I don't think it's a genuinely fantastic game.

She's Neku and Shiki's kid. I'm calling it.
And I'm calling that she has nothing to do with Neku or Shiki.
Mr. Mew was Shiki's first sewing project I believe. That would make Mr. Mew unique, so only Shiki has Mr. Mew, it's not a manufactured stuffed animal or anything. Therefore, I conclude that the girl has to relate to at least Shiki somehow.

First you do a combo with Neku, then you do a combo with the partner, then you do a combo with Neku again and so on. This keeps the light puck bouncing and multiplies your attack power.

Yeah, I know Mr. Mew's supposed to be unique, but I'm just blindly guessing that the headphones and Mr. Mew are red herrings.
One of my favorite games. Wouldn't mind seeing more of the world, but the story was perfectly self contained as is.

If the theoretical sequel doesn't use this title, it'll be a failure right from the get-go.

I was thinking that's be a good title if the sequel had duel protagonists.
As for this teaser though, I'm really not sure how I feel about it. It does seem to hint at a sequel, but if that sequel ends up being an iPhone/iPad exclusive like Remix was then I'm gonna be straight-up pissed.
Hopefully whatever this thing actually is ends up on the 3DS. I was planning on getting one soon anyway. But right now, I'm just not going to get my hopes up.
Even though it was a niche fan base I would say TWEWY could've been Square's own "Persona" is one of the few new-age RPG where instead of swords and chainmail you're buying headphones and pins from vendors. I would like for that style of RPG to take center stage as the big JRPG franchise rather than the Final Fantasy/ Kingdom Hearts stuff I don't know why they just "dropped" the game after it's release.
I wouldn't know how to feel about it until I played it. I was so against Portal 2 until I played it and loved it.
I'll wait until it's announced or something, then we'll see. I also wouldn't be surprised if it was DLC Levels or if TWEWY2 was on iPhone Exclusively, but again we'll see.

I've always thought this. Not just in terms of concept, but in terms of brand. If they would have been smart about it, it could have easily had an anime, spin-off games (a fighting game would actually suit it) and other kinds of products given its critical reception and fanbase. Instead, they pretty much ignored it. Kinda sad.

Uh-huh. So is this what that dude on twitter was hinting at? That there was a new image tacked on to the end of the iOS port that hints at the sequel we were hoping for in the first place?
Well, if it happens, it happens.
Nah, I'm pretty sure after the fact Brian Gray was responding to people on Twitter and stated that the #moredripthanleak crap was just him talking about the iOS port itself, not for any teasers like this.
Again, I think if anything significant is to come from this, it's going to be a "New 7 days" added to the iOS port of the game and not some fully fledged sequel.

This is probably what I fear the most, because I wouldn't even be able to play it. I still don't understand why Solo Remix can't run on a 4th gen iPod Touch.
I'm not getting my hopes up again, Square Enix have systematically shown that they don't give a fuck about making fans happy, instead opting for the 'if we bring it to the mass market, people will buy it' approach that failed with XIV, the lack of any Kingdom Hearts 3, let's face it, the time for that title has long since passed, and XIII as a series. TWEWY, if given a sequel, needs to be released on a 3DS, or at the very least, developed on both iOS and 3DS so that both parties can get a similar experience.
Whoever this is, I'm guessing they'll probably be a DLC for the iOS title, with a new campaign thrown in for the hell of it...I've yet to see Square make any good financial decisions when it comes to their series so far, so until I see some sort of change, I'll stick with my current point-of-view.
