I guess Dragon Quest is bigger than Persona....yeah that makes sense.
In Japan? Fuck yes it is.
I guess Dragon Quest is bigger than Persona....yeah that makes sense.
In Japan Dragon Quest is bigger than pretty much everything, save for maybe Monster Hunter.

Dragon Quest launches on weekends because people taking off launch day to play it was such a big problem that it was damaging the economy.

Dragon Quest is basically a Japanese national treasure.
Goddammit, why'd my internet have to cut out!? Someone better post that shit asap.
Thanks. So much hype!
I would probably be pretty excited if this Dragon Quest were an RPG, but Square doesn't seem particularly interested in those anymore.
How many fucking games is Omega Force making? How big is that team?
It's just those dudes sitting on the floor from that Nintendo Direct.
I fucking want that Ps4 with the metal slime, fucking japan getting all the good special editions of consoles
We need @jeff to play this ASAP

PS4 is region free. Go nuts.
@ll_exile_ll: Do they still swap the O and X buttons?
I'm glad Japan is skipping right towards the future of VR instead fooling around with house simulators. Those guys are goddamn nuts.
As fucking rad as it is that Persona 5 will be on PS4, taking a step back from that fuck yeah moment it would have been nice to see something of the game other than an anime video.

There's no way they would have shown anything like that at this thing. I'm sure Atlus has their own plans for revealing that stuff.

No gameplay footage until it ships please.

Fully agree, I want art of the main character and his persona at most.

I honestly don't care if it looks and plays like Persona 4 Golden. The writing has always been the strength of Persona - well, it has since 3 anyway.
That said, if this game looks anything near the visual quality of Catherine, I'll be overjoyed.
@selfconfessedcynic: Apparently it's a new and better engine than whatever they were running Catherine on, so that's exciting.
Pretty good press conference actually. I really wonder if they're doing another one for proper TGS. I doubt it, because if they're willing to show off this many games at this thing, I can't imagine what they could have for the other one. Unless its a lot of the same games but more in depth.

That sounds so effing rad.

ONE MORE CHANCE.

Even with it coming to the PS4 now I doubt it will look like Catherine. They ditched that engine for a reason.
But I am very curious what it will look like though. It could be anywhere in-between P4 and Catherine. I'm really not sure what to expect.

"Better" is relative though. I'm certain it's better suited for a game like Persona, but that doesn't necessarily mean more detailed graphics. A game like Persona eats up a lot of resources in other areas.
Ah, shit... I have the PS3 version of P5 pre-ordered for $35. Do I keep that or pay the inevitable $70 for PS4...
You can cancel a preorder and get your money back.
I haven't put any money down on it, that's just what it'll cost me when it ships. I'll have to see if I can even cancel it now, since it's a part of a larger order in which other parts have already shipped.

There will be more info on specific games coming straight from publishers at TGS I think. Kojima made that pretty clear with Phantom Pain.
