Ok, we got the pre-conference, now it's the...big leagues?

As always, nothing big guaranteed to show up. For now, the press conference stream seems to be exclusively available on IGN.

Let me know if I'm wrong about the IGN exclusive stream. That's what it seems like for now.

NOTE: Some people are saying this will be a repeat of the previous conference. So there might not actually be anything new to see until the 18th. We'll have to wait and see.

I know it's a pipe dream, but it would rock if they just dropped a Last Guardian bomb at the end.

That's literally all I want. I couldn't care less about KH3 (stopped caring 5 years ago) and FF15 (13 series was garbage) and that's basically all the games at this press conference right?

Oh there'll probably be some gameplay of Yakuza 0 which will be heartbreaking.

I kinda stopped caring about Final Fantasy after X, but I'll keep my eye on it.

Just show me more Persona, Kingdom Hearts, and throw in that little game "The Last Guardian" that absolutely nobody including me cares about deeply and hasn't been waiting for for years.

From what I understand this is just another pre-TGS press conference and there's still another press conference on the 18th.

I don't think there will be any more from Sony. They will have demos live-streamed for games, but I don't think we'll be seeing conferences. It sucks about this one being a repeat. However, on the off chance that there's something new, at least this thread will be open for discussion.

Apparently they are announcing 2 new games for the PS4.

@corruptedevil: Mitch Dyer said in that IGN video that Sony supposedly pulled 2 games from Gamescom so that they could announce them at TGS, but even if that were true, it's not guaranteed to happen tonight.

@aegon: yeah isn't this just a pre-show?, if so they'd probably save the big announcements for the real deal

considering the line up was leaked they may bite the bullet and announce some stuff earlier than anticipated.

I doubt it considering how close to the chest they are playing this.

We just found out what the main character looks like and have no clue about any plot details.

You mean, JRPG gameplay? That sounds boring. Especially since we know what it will look like. We don't know, but we know.

It's more just to see what it looks like. Does it look a lot better than Golden or is it more of the same at a higher res?

OK, gameplay was the wrong word (even though I wouldn't mind seeing some), but I just want to see more of the game, some insight to the first hour or so that starts another crazy high school game. Maybe some looks at gameplay changes to SLs or the day to day events.

Blah got excited thinking this was a new one and that I'd have something to watch. But everyone here is saying it'll be a rehash and its making me sad. I hope it isn't. Doesn't seem like it makes much sense too run two identical press conferences for the same convention.

Also, I think the February 5th release date was announced back at the Pre-TGS show?

There actually was a trailer with a reveal of the date.

I watched the pre-TGS thing and it was mindnumbing hot anime garbage, western games I've known about forever, Dynasty Warrior spinoffs left and right, and then Persona 5 teaser at the very end, almost like they were apologising for the previous hour of shit. Not doing it again.

Oh and Yakuza which looked alright but those games have terrible control, make it play like Sleeping Dogs.
