Tony Hawk's American Wasteland is the 7th game in the Tony Hawk franchise released in 2005. Developed by Neversoft and published by Activision, it was the first Tony Hawk game to be released on the Xbox 360 and the last one for the Gamecube.

A little something with Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.

So earlier I was playing T.H.A.W. (story mode) and I was doing parkour and I stumbled upon something weird. First of all like Neversoft claimed (taken straight from the back of the box): "The first free-roaming tony hawk game. Skate L.A. as one massive streaming world." So of course it should be just one big world like the later tony hawk games are (at least that's what I heard for the next gen.) But like I said (and of course you probably already knew this) I "discovered" that neversoft lied about this.

As you can tell the levels aren't connected. As you go through a tunnel after a while it quickely loads the next area, so quick it's next to impossible to tell.

Yep, there's proof right there. However, I think most people that have played the game are aware that it's not exactly an open skate world. It's also worth noting that most of the tunnels you skate through that connect the levels are pretty long and not very detailed or anything.

I guess that is so it can load while your going through the boring tunnel.
