Entire different game compared to other consoles...

Game-Play: Top spin on the Xbox has been released in the year of 2003, 2 years later the game came out on the PlayStation 2. The downside of this is that both versions are not alike. The Xbox version is very neat in the visuals and its revolutionary because the realism is surprising for a 2003 game. While starting to play the PlayStation 2 version it feels like a game still in the making and the reason for that is because it doesn't look good and does not play very well at the same time. The goal in the game is to become a tennis legend a.k.a the number 1 seed player in the world and to do so, you create a custom player male or female, you can modify a lot from the player, like the face, body and playing style and unfortunately on the PlayStation 2 version a lot of those amazing features are not all there. On the Xbox version you can choose what swing your player will have for the forehand, backhand and serve, on the PlayStation 2 version you are stuck with a preset so that means you are stuck with playing motions that you may not like. In general PlayStation 2 lacks in a lot of areas and I named one example like many I could point out. The reason why I do not like the PlayStation 2 version is because if you have played the Xbox game of Top Spin you see the immense difference and as a tennis fan of Top Spin series I do not recommend this one.

Graphics: The Visuals in this version are a complete downgrade it feels like a PlayStation 1 game because the player movements are very delayed at times. The game loading times are very annoying and long, the frame-rate is noticeably slow and I am very not satisfied of a game coming out in 2005 and having way worst graphics than the 2003 version.

Sound: The Music and sound on the Xbox version are very sharp and realistic, on the PlayStation 2 however the crowd rarely reacts, you can win a point and 10 seconds later the crowd will then applaud. The sounds of the game seem low quality I put the volume of my TV at around 20 and 30 because the sounds are low quality, all the games I play on my TV I have always the volume at 10-15. I do not understand why the same game wouldn't have the same sound quality.

Overall: I am very disappointed with how Top Spin on the PlayStation 2 has released in 2005 with no improvements and nothing but downgrading a great success on the Xbox. If you really wanna try this game, get the Xbox version, you will be satisfied.
