Dated in a Good Way 2

Toy Soldiers: Cold War is the follow up to the original Toy Soldiers on Xbox Live, trading in the World War 1 theme for a 1970's/1980's focus on the conflict between the USA and USSR. The change in theme is embraced fully by virtually every aspect of the game, and proves to be one of the most successful enhancements Signal has made to the already-impressive precedent set by the WW1 version. The game is fundamentally the same; waves of enemies will attack your position, charge past, and try to tak...

    Only fifteen bucks! 0

For fifteen dollars folks... fifteen dollars on release this game offers quite the sizable package. For an arcade release this game is for lack of a better word bangin'.TS: Cold War offers up a bountiful amount of 80's throwback and charm. Rambo references, Top Gun jackets and sounds of the 80's galore. Now that may sound cheesy but they picked the most delightfully memorable bits, not the parachute pants and house clock necklaces. The game play is that of the previous TS arcade releases leaving ...

Great game for the price 0

I have to admit that I didn't think I'd enjoy this game nearly as much as I did.  The first game confused, but this one really makes up for it.  I enjoy the throwback to the 80's and all of the pop-culture references.  The single player was enoiyable, but I really feel that this game shines in either co-op or versus modes.  The versus mode is a little chaotic and I still get my butt handed to me every single time, but it's not as predictable as the single player.  Co-op is great because you can ...

Toy Soldiers: Cold War is a great way to beat the heat! 0

Toy Soldiers: Cold War Review Toy Soldiers: Cold War is the sequel to the XBLA 2010 game, Toy Soldiers.  Made by Signal Studios the original explored the First World War as one of the greatest wars ever planned in a toy box. The sequel is the ultimate “what if” scenario that every child of the 80’s played out. What if the U.S.A. went to war with Soviet Russia? The game mechanics are very similar to the original but advanced because of more advanced warfare. The game is a tower defense ...

    Toy Soldiers: Cold War 0

Did you ever play with toy soldiers as a kid? Stage mock conflicts over the dinner table, and watch your little dioramas expand over your home. Maybe Toy Soldiers:Cold War; a simple, quirky, tongue-in-cheek take on the Cold War - if it were fought with miniatures and defence towers - is a game for you.Simply place one of the six towers at your disposal. Designed to cut through, aircraft, tanks or ground troops, then let your troops man the position - as you survey as a general from above - or dr...
