Just wanted to let you guys know about a Trackmania 2 tournament that's going on at a gaming event called GEEX in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is the first North American tournament officially sponsored by Ubisoft. The tournament is also sponsored by Intel. The tournament is free to participate in and consists of an online qualifying event which will narrow the field down to 10 competitors that will compete live on stage at GEEX on October 14th. Prizes include a custom Trackmania 2 gaming laptop from Intel and Core i5 processors for runners up. If anything, I hope this is the beginning of an eSports scene in North America surrounding Trackmania and we want to get as much participation and support as possible to show Ubisoft that we want more events like this.

Get more of the details and sign up here: http://geexshow.com/tournament.php?id=14

I'm one of the organizers of the event as a whole and the organization of the tournaments. Let me know if you have any questions.

Btw, I've been frequenting the Giant Bomb server and it's pretty awesome. Good competition and crazy maps. Awesome community of course.

Is Canada allowed in the event?
I've sent a message via the support e-mail, but no one wants to answer me.
You say "North American" event, but on the site it makes it sound like it is only open to US residents.
