and all I have to say is the second to last tire on Inferno 3 can go fuck itself. Had 100 faults on that tire, and still have no idea how to handle it properly. I think I just got lucky.
Trials Evolution
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Apr 18, 2012
The follow up to the best-selling hit Trials HD, Trials Evolution takes motorcycle platforming to a whole new level of ridiculousness.
So I finally completed the Flatliner series.
Dark City Run and The Wreck are the hardest extreme levels.
This is the single hardest obstacle in the game IMO. I spent a good 15 minutes stuck on that thing the other day and I'm still no wiser as to how I'm going to beat it.
@ashleychittock: I got passed it by backing all the way up, and getting a mad fucking bunny hop to get both of my tires on the top part of the incline...instead of doing it like they did in the video. it took more than a few tries to get my weight shifting correctly, but I think it is easier than what they did in the video lol
I'm stuck on Inferno 3 and The Wreck. I passed Way of the Ninja with 480 something deaths and just shy of 29 minutes. Talk about cutting it close haha
Holy shit just beat Dark City Run. Fuck that track I never want to play it again.
247 tries. 16:18.320. 200 of the tries easily on the scoreboard and wall incline right after.
That score board in Dark City pissed me off until like others have said, I backed up. Tapped the throttle once then gunned it, leaning back the whole time (the tap is so that you don't flip backwards) and you can easily make it up to the second ramp, and with all the momentum, you just cruise over the scoreboard.
I was surprised at how Inferno 3 wasn't actually that bad at all. I expected it to be much more difficult.
@benspyda: I may be forgetting something but I think you unlock the last event and you unlock the ability to get platinum medals. I could be wrong though havent played the game since.
The platinum medals you unlock when you get the 135 medals which gives you the Trials Trophy Achievement.
As for the extreme tracks, all illusions i had about gold medals, i don't have them now. I just want to finish the tracks and never look at them again. And that billboard on Dark City... everytime i see it, i want to set my xbox on fire.
Got gold on every extreme, platinum on the first extreme.
Looking for people to compete with. GT: Durtoth
of all of them I would have to say Dark City Run was the most frustrating bacause of that one obstaccle near the end.
I really hate how these tracks are less about skill and more about hoping the inconsistent physics engine gives you the right bounce for the obstacle. God forbid you want to do the same thing twice over.
I'm stuck on Inferno III at the moment and it's no longer fun. Man, fuck Dark City Run. That scoreboard was the least fun I've ever had and will never play that track again.

Lol, now i get it, you hate the game because you can't play it...
Nice...
Go see good Trials players doing everything perfect every time...
Either, keep playing, and get good at it, or just give up an dmove on.
Saying it's shit because you suck, makes you look like a baby...

Inferno 3, was...
Not that hard for me...
I don't know what happened, maybe i was inspired, maybe i got lucky, but...
I passed it with 73 faults and 5 minutes, the first time i played it.
Now, that scoreboard, and that steep ramp on the Wreck.
Those 2 killed me.
I had like 10 faults before i got to the scoreboard and ended up with more than 200, the same with that dam box.

Yeah, even as a pretty crappy player I can recognize that this is totally untrue. The physics are definately not realistic but they are consistent. It just requires great skill/practise to get the precision you need to consistently do the same thing. I don't think I'll ever reach that point, but I will at least finish all the extreme tracks at some point. I only have Inferno 3 and The Wreck left to do, both have an obstacle that I haven't been able to scale yet.
And yes, fuck that scoreboard. On my last try I was lucky enough to pass it in 30 tries which made me finish the track in 60 something faults. I will most likely never boot that track up again.
Yup. Still give zero fucks about what you think.
I've finished all the extreme tracks. But there are even moments when inconsistent bullshit happens in the earlier difficulties. I find it to be a painfully unfun experience, trying to cope at seemingly every with the goofy physics. So, to respond: I'm absolutely moving on. Unfortunate I was ignorant enough to pony up the fifteen dollars or whatever for this facepalmer.

Yes, the physics are consistent, but because it is based on physics, just like in the real world, if you are not consistent, the results of your actions will be different every time.
The game is all about precision, timing, and finesse.
So this could be looked at as a plug but pretend it isn't. Dan Ryckert from Game Informer played Trials Evolution on the Game Informer site for a Quick Look rip-off. At the end he tried to beat one of the Flatliner tracks and actually got pretty far. But the entire time he was making the uncontrollable noises we all make when playing this game. The producer of the video decided to put a bunch of those sounds into a soundboard and here it is:

I thought you guys might get a kick out of it. Here's the original video for those interpreted;

/not-a-plug over.
I've completed them all, and have silver on about half of them. I do not imagine for a second that I am particularly good at the game, all it takes is time. For my first runs I just put on a podcast and tried until I completed every track. Pretty relaxing if you do it that way.
