    Overview

Turret Sequences are scripted events where players control a turret and shoot targets. This turret often has an infinite amount of ammo at a high speed rate. Certain turrets, however, quickly overheat while they are being used, limiting their use and making players dose their shots.

Turret sequences usually take place while riding on the back of a vehicle; however, sometimes these sequences take place on a static environment. Players must try to defeat attacking enemies in order to avoid taking too much damage. In certain games, players can shoot the enemies' incoming projectiles.

Games like Halo 3 let players detach and walk around with the turret in hand; this is not a turret sequence.
