I was expecting this game to get boring quick. Instead a few cool moments and visuals kept me entertained. 0
Claiming the badge at the end of the level is a nice moment.Upfront the best thing about Unravel is the beautiful/gloomy environments that Yarney platforms his way through to reclaim lost memories in the form of a different yarn badge. To get to the beautiful looking mountain and other locations Yarney uses the different photos in the house to visit different memories. Beautiful artstyle and narrative, but overly frustrating at times 0
At the onset this game looks both interesting and beautiful, and much of the game offers a fun challenging experience. The visual style and gameplay mechanics (with the yarn) are the two standout features, they are what make this a truly unique game. The story is memorable and emotionally impactful despite not giving you much detail, opting instead for snapshots of a bigger story. A beautiful platformer worth your time 0
At its most basic, Unravel is a puzzle platforming game. However you will learn there is a lot more to it when you play. Even though the game is around six hours long I felt very emotionally invested in what was happening and felt compelled to keep playing. I really felt like I was going on an adventure while playing and enjoyed myself every step of the way.Let’s just say it right off the bat; Yarny is freaking adorable. I mean look at the guy.
