What he said... I watched this and felt utterly underwhelmed... Hey, if the scenery is the best thing about your game... Maybe you should think about making it a lil bit better... Or not make a video featuring solely that...

whenever i go on their site it says theres 4.5k players playing. 
socom combined assault had better numbers at any given point. 
way to go slant six/sony, way to go.  
MAG doesnt seem to be any better. come back to socom zipper i beg of you. hell the franchise is begging you.

I love SOCOM still, but it's much better playing with 7 other mates online and just holding shit down inside buildings and just winning every game. 
 
SOCOM may have gone downhill but it hasn't lost the charm which SOCOM players and fans fell in love with.  
 
Trouble is, I can name 20 other games easily off the top of my head which I haven't even started, or halfway through, which I would rather play. The appeal of SOCOM has gone - it needed new maps, but trouble is, those maps are 6 months too late. Also overpriced, bastards.

MS milks halo, Sony milks socom, It sucks. The only way i'd be happy to see another socom game is if zipper made it, because from what i've played of MAG it seems hella lame. As for Halo, i'm done with it. ODST wasn't nearly worth $60 when compared to games like mw2 or Uncharted 2, and the gameplay's getting a little stale imo.

i just played the mag beta (by zipper) and it actually seems pretty cool, i think it could be something that socom fans would like.

I was so disgusted with how Zipper handled their fans with DLC on Combined Assault for the PS2, assuring this patch-fix and that Map Pack - which didn't come until about a year after they were promised - it became one of the reasons I finally delved into Xbox Live and bought a 360.
 
It's such a shame, too, because SOCOM 3 and CA remain my favourite online multiplayer experience to this day. I was excited when I heard Modern Warfare 2 was gonna have a 3rd person mode so I could maybe replicate some of my memories of such a great 3rd person shooter.. but now that I've played it, it just isn't the same.
 
Honestly, I can't believe there are people that still play this series after how the developers treated their fans a few years ago. I really hope they don't pull the same bullshit when MAG comes out.

fuck the haters- even though this game got off to a rough start- they cleaned it up, and SOCOM remains one of the most addictive and fun games to play PERIOD! 
the map design in these games are outstanding by the way- and i believe some of the new MW2 maps have borrowed some design queues.
